Fiscal Responsibility
Stop rubber-stamping spending. Scrutinize major contracts, consultants, and projects. Demand results, cut waste, and make every dollar work for students.
Mountain View Whisman School District
I’m running for school board to bring a parent’s perspective, technical experience, and a focus on transparent, responsible district governance.

Why I’m Running
I first became involved in our district as a classroom volunteer and room parent, giving me a firsthand look at the experiences of students, teachers, and families.
That involvement led me to take a closer look at the district’s finances, operations, and decision-making. Our district faces significant financial challenges, while parents continue to have questions about technology, instructional priorities, student opportunities, and how major spending decisions are evaluated.
I’m running to bring a practical, questioning approach to the board: understand the numbers, listen to the community, evaluate outcomes, and keep the focus on students.
Priorities
Stop rubber-stamping spending. Scrutinize major contracts, consultants, and projects. Demand results, cut waste, and make every dollar work for students.
Listen to parents and take their concerns seriously. Keep families informed and make sure their voices are heard in district decisions.
Reduce unnecessary screen time while using technology where it clearly supports learning. Evaluate EdTech spending based on outcomes, not novelty.
Expand opportunities for physical activity and healthy habits, with quality PE and nutritious school meals.
Keep a well-rounded education in view by supporting art, music, shop classes, and other practical hands-on learning opportunities for students.
Students have different needs and abilities. Academic support should include appropriate challenge, enrichment, and pathways for students ready to go further.
How I Approach Decisions

About Quintin
My background is in electrical engineering, information security, and systems administration, including work supporting data-center environments.
For the past several years, my focus has been my family and my children’s education. I’ve been a room parent and regular volunteer in and out of the classroom and stayed involved with our local schools.
I bring a skeptical and systems-oriented mindset to public issues: understand how something works, identify what isn’t working, and improve it.
